LEGE is open to deposition of strains, as long as the organisms adapt to growth conditions present in the collection. Candidate strains for deposit will be examined for contamination, proper identification and data accuracy. All deposited strains are open to the public once their acceptance is approved. LEGE-CC Deposit Workflow
1. Public Deposit
In order to deposit, strains must satisfy the following conditions:
Deposit of strains in LEGE is free of charge. However, shipping and transport costs are borne by the depositor. We reserve the right to refuse any strain that is not as described in the Accession Form.
2. Safe Deposit
LEGE-CC is willing to accept deposits of valuable strains for confidential safekeeping. In such cases a culture remains the property of the depositor and is available only to the depositor.
Confidentially deposited strains are not listed in our publicly available catalogue.
